Foras
Born in post-diluvian times, Foras is a hybrid Deity with roots in Lagash. Foras’ passion for exploration and curiosity led Him to travel extensively across the globe, collecting, testing, cataloging, and expanding an enormous database of herbs and minerals for medicinal and healing purposes. Foras utilized Hermetic principles to classify herbs based on energy and vibrational potential that blends synergistically to maximize the benefits from the plant or mineral. Trained as an Ecologist and Natural Scientist, He assembled a small team and taught them elemental alchemy and extraction methods. He lived most of His life surrounded by nature, documenting and understanding how different ecosystems worked to support and sustain growth and diversity. Known as a ranger, wanderer, or explorer, Foras is a free and wild Deity tied intimately to the Earth.
Foras appears as a tall, muscular young man with tanned skin, shoulder-length dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and white wings with brown and grey spots. He wears a dark brown leather vest, pants, and shoes. He also rides on a beautiful black stallion with red eyes, which carries bags singed across both sides of his back.
His travels exposed Him to new emerging diverse cultures and their need to connect and understand their responsibility to sustain growth while honoring life cycles and interrelated ecosystems. In doing so, Foras also taught them how to be wise, witty, and fair in the way they shared and traded goods and raw materials. Ethics and logic played integral roles in developing a culture underpinned by respect for nature and the environment.
Foras is a strong advocate for natural wildlife preservation, re-forestation, and marine ecosystems. His main goals are to keep the Earth pristine and whole through conservation, protection, and ethical use. He sees inherent goodness in all of nature and life itself.
Foras provided the following message:
“Life operates within a bandwidth of inherent benevolence and truth. Whether biological or spiritual, life will always find balance and wholeness. Allow your daily interactions to reflect your true self, which is life-affirming and peaceful, and do not allow anyone or anything to disturb this peace within you as you look at nature for her grandeur, beauty, and simplicity.
No matter how distant or disconnected you may feel sometimes, know it is only a temporary state of mind that happens when you lose sight of all the goodness surrounding you. Finally, seek in nature the abundance you may feel lacking. When you take a step back, you will notice how easy it is to stay at peace and focus on your goals.”
